Jordanian anti- normalization conference
Jordan-Israel, Politics, 1/29/2002
The first Jordanian trade Union conference on anti- normalization has called for the need of halting all forms of normalization with Israel as a retaliation to the fierce attacks carried out by the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian people in the occupied territories.
In a statement issued in conclusion of its works and circulated in Amman on Monday, the conference stressed the need of unifying Arab and Islamic stances in support of the Palestinian people, their resistance and uprising against the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories.
The participants in the conference discussed the role of the Jordanian vocational trade union in resisting normalization with Israel, economically, politically and socially.
The deliberations of the conference was attended by Jordanian national parties, vocational trade unions and independent figures, as well as artists, journalists and pressmen.
