Mohammed Ghamrawi, General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) chairman in Egypt, left Cairo for Tokyo to attend a conference on investment for Mideast countries.
The four-day conference, to start on Monday, is organized by Japan Centre for Cooperation with the Middle East. Before leaving, Ghamrawi said that he will review at the conference the investment climate in Egypt, especially after the amendments introduced by the Egyptian government to the investment law.
On the sidelines of the conference, Ghamrawi will meet with a number of Japanese officials working in the trade and economic fields.
The Egyptian delegation will also take part in the fair to be set up on the margin of the conference with the aim of luring Japanese investments. Japan contributes to 14 investment projects in Egypt with a capital of LE 1.7 billion.
