A progress in disclosing the identity of Hobeiqa's assassins
Lebanon, Local, 1/28/2002

Investigations in the file of assassinating the former Israeli minister Eli Hobeiqa and his three guards still concentrate on disclosing the identity of the two persons who bought the booby trapped car from the car exhibition in Jezzine. Several persons were connected to the question of the car. The number reached five persons but investigation circles said the number is not important, increasing once and decreasing at other times.

On Saturday, Hobeiqa's body was buried in a huge funeral at his birthplace in Baskanta and a mass was held for that purpose at Mar Takla church, attended by two Presidents of Emil Lahoud and Bashar al-Assad. On Sunday President lahoud visited Hobeiqa's house in al-Hazemeyah and offered condolences to his family.
