Ruler of Qatar confers with Iran's minister of defense

The ruler of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Khaleifa al-Thani on Saturday received at the Emir's royal court the Iranian Defense minister Gen. Ali Shamakhani.
The meeting was attended by high ranking Qatari officials and the Iranian ambassador to Qatar.
Discussions dealt with bilateral relations and means of strengthening them especially in the military fields. Several regional and international issues of mutual concern were also reviewed.
