Syrian defense minister's term of office to be extended for more two years

In its recent issue, the Lebanese magazine al- Sheraa said that the Syrian defense minister Lt. Gen. Mustafa Tlass whose term of office will be expired for reaching 70 years old in April will be extended for two more new years.
The magazine added that the late Syrian President Hafez al-Assad had extended the term of office for Tlass, who has been considered one of the late President's close aides in his Baath party march, for two successive terms of office.
