Israel bans Arafat from traveling to Europe

The Israeli government has announced its rejection to permit Yasser Arafat, the chairman of the Palestinian Authority to travel to Europe in order to take part in the meeting of the foreign ministers of the European Union
The Hebrew- language Israeli radio said that the Israeli government discussed a request proposed by Arafat to permit him to leave Ramullah in order to take part in the meeting and decided not to approve Arafat's request.
