Yemeni president calls for international protection for the Palestinians

The Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Sunday reiterated the need that the International community to ensure, quickly, an international protection for the Palestinian people which have been exposed to a war of extermination by the Israeli military occupation.

News reports said that President Saleh stressed to journalists during his meeting with the official responsible for public works in the Palestinian authority Azzam al-Ahmad, his country's backing to the legitimate struggle for the Palestinian people in order to restore back their usurped rights and establish their own independent state on their national soil with Jerusalem as a capital.

The Yemeni President also condemned the aggression and besiege imposed by the Israeli forces against the Palestinian people and authority.
