Cairo's concern of US severing relations with Arafat

Egypt has sent messages to the White House in which it expressed its concern over the possibility that the US administration will sever its relations with the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat, according to the Israeli radio. The radio said that Cairo shows fears over the US's severing relations with the Palestinian Authority or closing the office of the PLO in Washington, stressing that this will lead to the increase of security escalation in the Middle East region.
