Arab colloquy on penal reform

A two-day colloquy in Amman on penal and prison reform in the Arab world will take place next February 10.
Academicians, official representatives and Ngos from Morocco, Jordan, Lebanon, Algeria and Palestine will participate in the colloquy, co-sponsored by the International Organization for Penal Amendment and the Arab Institute for Human Rights.
Participants will examine surveys and researches on prison punishment substitution, control over verdict application and prisoners with special needs, especially women and minors.
The colloquy was initiated to better exchange ideas and experiences, and coordinate the participating countries' efforts.
