Moroccan kills wife in Saudi Arabia

A Moroccan barber, settled in Saudi Arabia, confessed Sunday to Saudi Police in Dhahran that he had killed his wife, also Moroccan.

The Saudi police in Dhahran closed the case of Hassania Harakat (27) after her husband confessed the murder.

The victim's sister, Amina Harakat, told the police that the husband who was under effect of a narcotic, stabbed his wife many times after a quarrel, and put fire to their bed.

He tried to make the police think she died of asphyxia, she went on.

The body of the woman, who was 9-month pregnant and lived in the Saudi city for more than a year, was discovered by the firemen who came to extinguish the fire.

Both the victim and her husband came from Casablanca.
