Two persons killed in Algeria, Butaflika condemns al-Qabayel's demonstration

Algerian President Abdul Aziz Butaflika has strongly condemned the "meaningless demonstrations," in remarks to the acts of unrest which have been disturbing the country since several months, especially in al-Qabayel area ( to the east of Algeria). Butaflika was talking during a forum in Algiers dedicated to discuss the new African partnership.

On Wednesday, the Algerian TV broadcast long excerpts from President Butaflika's speech. The Algerian President said that " Violence will lead to violence ." He stressed his commitment to dialogue:" in the context of the laws of the republic." He added:" it is futile to think that a change can be made through violence.

On the other hand, the Algerian dailies issued on Wednesday said that two men were killed on Monday in acts of violence attributed to armed Islamic groups. The papers explained that a (26) year old young-man was slaughtered in Balhadaf area in Jejeil district. The paper indicated that armed men belong to al- Salafeyah for call and fighting led by Hassan Hattab broke into a Cafe and kidnapped the young man who has completely finished his military service. The papers explained that his body was found after few hours in a place near the Cafe.

Meantime, the Algerian daily al-Watan said that a rent car driver was killed by an armed group in Hajout in Teibaza district after they claimed they are passengers.
