Egypt to be France's key natural gas supplier
Egypt-France, Politics, 1/24/2002
"Egypt will be France's main natural gas supplier due to its successful investment policy, Mauritanian newspaper "Al-Shaab" said yesterday.
The paper quoted France's Gas Company Chief as saying that Egypt will be one of the main exporters of natural gas after signing a strategic agreement which will make the French company rely on natural gas to meet 10 per cent of its requirements.
According to the Paper, Egypt will benefit from the establishment of a plant for liquefied gas in the Egyptian coastal city of Alexandria that will cost $ 900 million for exporting gas to different countries.
