Al-Khartoum abides by the cease fire

Lt. Gen. Muhammad Bsahir Suleiman, the official spokesman for the Sudanese armed forces said that the Sudanese government has observed the cease fire at al-Nouba mountain area which has started to be valid one hundred percent as from Tuesday.
In a statement to the Sudanese daily al-Rai al-Am issued on Wednesday, the Sudanese minister said that members of the Sudanese armed forces in al-Nouba mountains have committed to the cease fire orders and what was stated in the agreement between the Sudanese government and the rebellion movement in Switzerland.
On the other hand,, the secretary general of the opposition coalition Baqan Ammoun has stressed commitment to what stated in the al-Nouba mountain agreement in content and spirit.
In a statement to the Sudanese daily al-Ayam issued on Wednesday Amoum denied that the statement made the war lord John Garang to be as an escalation of war in order to abrogate the al-Nouba mountain agreement nor to be a violation to it. He said:" our stand towards the agreement is fixed and the movement is completely committed to it. SANA.
