Mousa today in Saudi Arabia, after Kuwait

The secretary general of the Arab League (AL) Amre Mousa has described his Wednesday's talks with the Kuwaiti foreign minister Sheikh Sabah al-jaber al-Sabah as very positive and fruitful.

In statements to the press before leaving Kuwait on Wednesday after a short visit, the AL chief said that it was agreed during the talks to continue contacts. He noted the importance of good preparations for the next Arab summit due to be held in Beirut in March.

He added: " we are trying to tackle with all important issues on the ground of a positive perspective, noting that this very impression he got from his talks with the Kuwaiti foreign minister.

He said he will be visiting Saudi Arabia today during which he will meet with the Saudi officials to review with them the results of his talks and visit to Iraq last week. Mousa headed immediately from Kuwait to Jordan.
