Abu al-Ragheb confers with Pakistani envoys
Jordan-Pakistan, Politics, 1/24/2002

The Jordanian prime minister Ali Abu al-Ragheb has discussed with the Pakistani minister of Kashmir affairs Abbas Khan and Taher al-Qadiri the developments of conditions between India and Pakistan.

The two sides stressed the need of eliminating the current crisis and to backtrack the escalations measures between the two sides, rather to resort to the language of dialogue so as to reach a peaceful solution for the interests of the two neighborly countries.

Abu al-Ragheb expressed his country's support to Pakistan's stances included in the speech made by the Pakistani President B. Musharraf, expressing his hope that these stances will dismantle the crisis between the two countries.

The two Pakistani envoys arrived in Amman on Tuesday evening in the framework of a tour in the region during which they will hand leaders of these countries messages from the Pakistani President.
