The defendant committee for al-Homsi call for transferring the case

The Independent member of the Syrian parliament Mamoun al-Homsi did not on Wednesday attend his final trial session without any announced clarification. As a result judge Jasem Muhammad postpones considering this case until January 6th under the pretext of " having the prisoner present at the trial ."

Al-Homsi defendant lawyer Anwar al- Bonni said that the defendant commission applied to the Damascus general court to submit the file to another judicial side, accusing the general commission of " criminal falsification of the case." The defendant commission based its accusation on " other facts" mentioned in the records of the previous session which were not debated openly and added " apart from the defendant, the accused persons and the public." The court also refused to give a copy of the session. This was stated in the memorandum submitted by the commission to the public court demanding " investigations to this complain" and " taking necessary measures and giving the defendant " the permission to file the general case against the commission under the accusation of criminal falsification.

A request which was approved by the general court by giving this permission by the Syrian first Syrian attorney general Ghada Murad.
