Egypt hosts donor countries conference on february 5

Egyptian Prime Minister Atef Ebeid will open the donor countries conference in Sharm E1 Sheikh on February 5.
Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Fayza Abul Naga said that the two-day conference is organized by the World Bank, adding that Egypt and the World Bank will share the presidency of the conference.
Ebeid will deliver Egypt's statement to the conference during the inaugural session and will present an Egyptian paper, including Egypt's viewpoint towards the economic reform program and dealing with the economic challenges, especially after September 11 incidents in the United States.
Abul Naga told a press conference yesterday that Egypt's donor countries and institutions to attend the conference, including the United States, Canada, Finland, Norway, Denmark, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Sweden, Japan Singapore, Korea and Australia.
The Minister added that Egypt hoped the donor countries to approve providing $ 2.5 billion to address the deficit of trade balance and finance the urgent projects.
