EU-Morocco working group on the information society

The EU-Morocco Working Group on the Information Society will hold its first meeting on 22 January in Brussels.
The two sides will exchange information on their respective digital policies and strategies (eEurope and eMaroc) and on the regulatory situation as regards telecommunications networks and services, including interconnection, numbering, and licensing.
Regional and bilateral co-operation will be discussed, including the "New Approaches to Telecommunications Policy 2002" MEDA project, and the state of play of another project called ?Support to the telecommunications regulation and liberalisation Program in Morocco. There will be an exchange of views on future co-operation, and the Group could adopt an indicative work programme.
