EU-Morocco protocols on trade in agricultural products

The first official meeting for negotiating EU-Morocco protocols on trade in agricultural products will take place on 23 January in Brussels at Senior officials? and experts' levels.
They will cover trade between Morocco and the EU in both directions, as provided for in the agricultural chapter of the EU-Morocco Association Agreement, in force since March 2000. The aim is to reach agreement by the end of 2002, as agreed at the EU-Morocco Association Council last October. Exploratory discussions have already been held and the rebalancing of mutual preferences will be discussed.
