UAE deputy premier condemned the Israeli military escalation

Deputy prime minister in the United Arab Emirates UAE Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed al-Nahyan on Monday in Abu Dhabi received Yasser Abd Rabbu, the Palestinian official in charge of information and culture in the Palestinian Authority who handed him a message from Yasser Arafat to UAE President Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan al-Nahyan.

During the meeting, Sheik Sultan condemned the Israeli military escalation in the occupied Palestinian territories, Israel's re-occupation of certain areas of the Palestinian territories. He stressed the Emirates' support to the Palestinians in their struggle to establish the independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as a capital.

Sheikh Sultan stressed the need of sending UN observers to the Palestinian territories in order to protect the Palestinian people against the acts of killing and assassination conducted by Israel.
