Libya, Canada sign a memorandum of understanding

The secretary of the people's general committee for foreign relations and international cooperation in Libya Abdul Rahman Shalqam and Canada's minister of State for Africa and Latin America affairs David Kliffore have stressed the need to continue the peace process in the Middle East and to halt the current grave implications in the region.
In a joint press conference held on Saturday in Tripoli with the Canadian minister in conclusion of his visit to Libya, Shalqam called on the world states to deal with the question of terrorism objectively with transparency, stressing that fighting terrorism is an international responsibility based on certain and precise description. The two officials, who signed a memorandum of understanding to reactivate dialogue and cooperation between the two countries, expressed the desire of their two countries to reactivate and strengthen their bilateral relations.
The Canadian minister inaugurated the Canadian embassy in Tripoli and attended a ceremony provided for the establishment of a joint chamber of commerce between the two countries.
