Senegal's president meets head of Morocco's carrier

President Abdoulay Wade of Senegal met Thursday in Dakar Mohamed Berrada, president-director general of the Moroccan carrier, Royal Air Maroc.

Berrada is visiting Senegal to assess past and future actions of the Moroccan-Senegalese air company, Air Senegal International (ASI). RAM holds 51 percent of this company, while the Senegalese government holds the remaining 49 percent.

Berrada announced that ASI will service end of next March its first Dakar-Paris route.

RAM will provide ASI with a Boeing 757-200 to service 4 weekly flights between Paris and Dakar, before developing daily flights, RAM chief said.

Berrada also disclosed other annex programs including the creation of a overhaul and a catering firms.
