Syrian source denies secret messages to the Israeli government

A well-informed Syrian source denied in a statement to the London- based daily al-Zamaan issued on Thursday what was published by certain media quoting high ranking Israeli sources in that secret messages reached the Israeli government saying that Damascus is ready to resume negotiations without prior conditions. The Syrian source stressed that these sayings and groundless and baseless.
The Syrian source said that such comments are not worthy of commenting on, especially as the Syrian position is known.
The source stressed Syria's clinging to just and comprehensive peace which is based on implementing UN resolutions especially UN resolutions 242 and 338, the Madrid terms of reference and the land for peace formula.
The source indicated the terrorist operations carried out by the Israeli government against the unarmed Palestinian people and its demolishing of Palestinian houses and the assassination of the Palestinian leaderships, calling for trying Sharon over committing these terrorist operations.
