Chinese president calls for resuming peace talks in the ME

The Chinese President Jiang Zemin has called for resuming peace talks in the Middle East so as to avoid more acts of violence.
The Chinese news agency Xhinua quoted the Chinese President as saying during his meeting with the Jordanian King Abdullah II on Thursday evening that China sees that the only right solution for the Middle East question lies in prompt resumption of the peace talks because armed violence and conflict will not lead to peace.
