A Syrian official at the foreign ministry in Brazil

Ambassador Osmar Shahfah, of the Syrian origin from Homs has assumed the post of the secretary general of the foreign ministry in Brazil. This post is considered the most important in Brazil following the post of the foreign minister.
On this occasion, the Syrian ambassador in Brazil Shahin Farah held a celebration in honor of Shahfah. It was attended by senior Brazilian diplomats, Arab ambassadors accredited in Brasilia and a crowded number of the Arab community there.
In a speech he delivered on this occasion Shahfah expressed his pride over his Syrian origin. He stressed he will contribute to deepen ties of friendship and bilateral relations between Syria and Brazil.
