Jordanian King holds talks with Chinese officials

The Jordanian King Abdullah II held talks with the Chinese President Jiang Zemin in Beijing on the Middle East question and the international campaign on fighting campaign and other international and bilateral issues.

The Chinese TV said that Jiang held an official reception to welcome King Abdullah at al-Shaab Greater hall in Beijing before the two leaders started their consultations.

The two leaders witnessed the signing of two bilateral agreements including an agreement on Chinese economic aids to Jordan.

He stressed the importance of the role played by China because of its international influence.

The Chinese official TV quoted King Abdullah as saying to Jiang that the two countries stances are identical concerning several international efforts.

For his part, Jiang said that the two sides reached " great consent" on developing bilateral relations.
