Sudan rejects US inspection of one of its ships in the Arab Sea

The Sudanese foreign ministry has announced its rejection to the inspection operation of one of the Sudanese ships by the American forces in the Arab Sea last Tuesday. The Sudanese ship was in its way from Sallalah port in Oman to the port of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.

In a statement, the Sudanese ministry said that the inspection operation which resulted in nothing is but a rejected measure that can not be justified and is a flagrant violation to all international norms and charters.

The ministry explained it had asked the American administration to clarify through the Sudanese embassy in Washington and the American charge de affairs in Khartoum and that it will continue its contacts with the American side to get a clarification to this measure and then to define the Sudanese position.
