Moroccan community participates in demonstration of solidarity with Iraqi people
Iraq-Morocco, Culture, 1/17/2002

The Moroccan community settled in Iraq participated on Tuesday in a demonstration of solidarity with the Iraqi people.

The demonstration was staged before the UN representation in Baghdad by the Arab community settled in Iraq to commemorate the 11th anniversary of the second Gulf war.

The demonstrators denounced the continuous aggression against Iraq and called for the definitive and unconditional lifting of the embargo decreed against the Arab country.

They hailed the resistance and steadfastness of the Iraqi people to attempts to weaken its capacities and called for further backing to the Iraqis to preserve the dignity and decisive causes of the Arab nation.

The demonstrators sent the UN secretary general a memorandum urging him to take the necessary measures to put an end to the military aggressions against Iraq.
