New oil discoveries in Iraq

The Iraqi weekly al-Alaam ( the flags ) said in its recent issue published on Wednesday that new oil fields were discovered in two residential areas in the downtown of Baghdad.
The paper indicated that the oil fields are situated under lands distributed by the government on the Iraqis to build houses on it, but after oil fields were discovered, property documents were taken from the owners and they were compensated for that. No mention was made on the number of these oil fields.
