Egypt keen on Sudan's national interest

Egyptian Deputy Premier and Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Youssef Wali on Tuesday confirmed that Egypt is keen on promoting relations with Sudan in all domains especially economic ones.

Wali, at a meeting with a partisan delegation, led by Ibrahim Ahmed Omar, Secretary of the ruling National Conference in Khartoum, added that Egypt is supporting efforts for realizing national reconciliation in Sudan.

The Sudanese delegates, during their week-long visit to Cairo, will meet other senior officials.

Wali stressed that President Hosni Mubarak exerts great effort to achieve stability in Sudan. The minister underlined the old Egypt-Sudan ties that are based on geographical and historical facts.
