Egypt welcomes Musharraf's decision to defuse tension with India

The Egyptian Foreign minister Ahmed Maher expressed on Monday Egypt's welcome of Pakistani president Pervez Musharraf's address on Saturday in which he expressed desire to defuse tension with India.
Egypt also welcomes the decisive measures announced by Musharraf to face extremism,' Maher said, adding that such steps reflected genuine desire to end tension with India and settle the dispute via negotiations.
