Comoros: possible resignation for the president to re-nominate himself

In top secret measures and away from local and international media, President of Comoros Othman Ghazali has started a series of undeclared meetings with Comoros's opposition figures and the local authorities in Anjwan and Mohelly islands in preparation for an expected decision to submit his resignation from the authority he assumed in 1999 so as to nominate himself for the presidential elections due to be held on March 31st.
According to well-informed Comoros sources in the capital Moroni, Col. Ghazalli will announce within the few coming hours his final decision to this effect, so as to open the way towards Comoros's entry to the provisional phase which precedes the running of presidential meetings.
