Syrian information minister confers with CNN chief

The minister of information Adnan Omran on Sunday received Chief of the CNN Easen Jordan.
Talks dealt with means of developing contacts and relations between the Syrian ministry of information and the CNN so as to contribute to opening the prospect for further objectivity in covering news relating to the region and the continued Israeli occupation of the Arab territories.
The minister also stressed the importance of embarking on transparency in reporting news and in the service of legitimate international norms to this effect.
On the other hand, Jordan stressed CNN care to develop cooperation relations with Syria in media areas for covering the interests of the two sides.
