Egypt,India start talks on preferential trade agreement

Egyptian Foreign Trade Minister Youssef Boutros Ghali started his talks with officials in India on a preferential trade agreement between the two countries and means to up investments in the software sector.
Arriving in India Thursday morning to participate in Bangalore Conference on trade and globalization, Ghali said the agreement aims at expanding bilateral trade, particularly in commodities that have no local competing matches in both countries.
Ghali and his accompanying delegation are expected to meet in New Delbi with Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee ,as well as Minister of Commerce and Industry Murasoli Maran and the chief of the Indian industries federation.
