Sahara and Sahel observatory convenes meeting in Mauritania in march

The managing board of the Sahara and Sahel Observatory will hold a meeting in Mauritania next March.
The announcement was made by Moroccan Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Water and Forests, Ismael Alaoui, who paid a short visit to Tunisia Wednesday.
The meeting will thoroughly examine the incidence of drought and desertification on the countries of the region, he told MAP bureau here after he met executives from the observatory.
The Moroccan official had earlier visited Algiers where he attended the meeting of the Maghreban Commission in charge of food security.
