Palestinian population toll 4.3 million in the occupied Palestinian territories

The central bureau for statistics in the Palestinian Authority has announced that number of Palestinians in the occupied Palestinian territories reached until the end of 2001 4.3 billion, including 2.2 million in the West Bank and East Jerusalem and 1.2 million in Gaza.
In a statement circulated on Thursday the central bureau said that Palestinians in the Diaspora tolled 4.5 million by the end of 2000, mainly positioned in Jordan with 2.6 million; 401,100 in Syria and 385.057 in Lebanon.
