Bahrain starts preparations for the third Arab summit

Bahrain's minister of information Nabil Yaqoub al-Homur has stressed his country's interest in the third Arab summit due to be held in March 2003 in being the first Arab conference at this highest level to be held in Bahrain. He indicated that sides concerned in Bahrain started actual preparations to host this big event by preparing necessary buildings, halls and equipment for this summit.

Al- Homur said that Bahrain, in collaboration and coordination with the general secretariat of the Arab League ad the AL members states will propose an integrated project to the al-Manama Arab summit to revitalize common Arab work and deepen cooperation and integration among the Arab states.

On what has been rumored on a new ministerial reshuffle in Bahrain, al-Homur said in a statement to the Egyptian daily al-Ahram that the last reshuffle was made in may 2001 and that there is no inclination now for a new reshuffle. He explained that this matter ( reshuffle) is decided by the Emir of Bahrain and the prime minister in Bahrain.
