IGAD summit for serving regional cooperation

Sudan's foreign minister Mustafa Othman has stressed that the Libyan- Egyptian joint initiative to solve the Sudanese crisis has attained a tangible progress and formed a serious attempt towards this end. In a statement to Sawt al-Arab radio on Wednesday, Othman expressed his hope that the tripartite meeting of the foreign ministers of Egypt, Sudan and Libya would be an advance step in this regard.
He indicated that IGAD summit due to be held today in Khartoum will be an occasion to strengthen regional cooperation among states taking part in this summit.
