A new party to be licensed in Jordan
Jordan-Fertile Crescent, Politics, 1/10/2002

Member of the follow up committee of the Social nationalist party in Jordan, Amer al- Tel, applied for the Jordanian authorities to get a license to this " national and secular party," calling for the foundation of Greater Syria and the unity of " Proper Syria " on national bases with Jordan to be its base and to include each of Syria, Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq and Kuwait.

In an interview with the BBC on Wednesday al-Tel said this very unity is very old and was advocated by many persons and we try to restore it back on national grounds and economic integration basics among these entities.

He explained that the failure of previous attempts of Arab unity experiences was because these attempts were not built on scientific bases and that they exceed geography, considering that unity between Syria and Egypt had exceeded geography and according to historical experiences Syria and Jordan should be united.
