Moroccan model should be taken as example by several countries, French ambassador
Morocco-France, Politics, 1/9/2002

French ambassador in Morocco, Michel de Bonnecorse, who has ended his six-year assignment in the kingdom, said Morocco should be taken as an example by several countries, owing to the wisdom, continuity and solidity of its options.

The diplomat hailed in an interview with "Le Matin Du Sahara et Du Maghreb" daily the growing solidity and intellectual complicity between Morocco and France, citing a figure of 80% of foreign investments in Morocco operated by France. He also predicted that in the future more imagination is needed to materialize the new partnership.

He also stressed France wants to be the champion of the call made by King Mohammed VI "with Europe, we want more than association," adding solidarity born from the Morocco-EU association agreement should be given a political content to be used as a model.

He said that after he spent six years in Morocco "I feel very Moroccan, Morocco also belongs to those who love it."
