Moroccan FM confirms his participation in UMA foreign ministers meeting

Morocco's minister of foreign affairs and cooperation, Mohamed Benaissa, confirmed on Tuesday he will take part in the Arab Maghreb Union (UMA) foreign ministers session this January 16-17 in Algiers.
The head of the Moroccan diplomacy told reporters following a meeting with Egyptian peer, Ahmad Maher, he hopes the UMA session between foreign ministers of Algeria, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco and Tunisia, will adopt a new approach that opens the way for new perspectives of regional cooperation in light of the recent international developments.
To a question on Moroccan-Algerian relations, he said the two states have always maintained dialogue, adding it is in the interest of Morocco, Algeria and other UMA countries, as well as Arabs, Africans and Muslims to endeavor to consolidate capacities of cooperation and overcome eventual disputes.
Benaissa visited Cairo part of a tour in Bahrain and Iran.
