Peres holds constructive military talks with Indian defense minister

The Israeli foreign minister Shimon Peres on Tuesday in new Delhi held with the Indian defense minister George Fernandiz, amid atmospheres on reciprocated agreement on fighting terrorism and means of accelerating military co-operation.

News reports quoted an official at the Indian defense ministry as saying that talks with Peres covered the situation in the Indian sub continent, where both India and Pakistan built up their forces in the largest military mass up since the two countries independence in 1947.

Meantime, an Indian official said that Peres and Fernandiz exchanged view points concerning the security condition, terrorism and defense cooperation.

Meanwhile, a joint Indian- israeli work group is meeting in Tel Aviv in coincidence with Peres's visit to India.

Peres had also met with former Indian prime minister Narasimha Rao who released a decision to establish full diplomatic relations with Israel ten years ago.
