Washington suspends financial aids to Iraqi opposition

The US on Monday announced it has suspended financial aids to the Iraqi opposition because of the bad management of these sums, rather than a change in the US policy towards the ruling system in Baghdad.
News reports quoted the spokesman for the US state department Richard Boucher as saying that it is a question of monetary monitoring and not a political issue or programs.
The Iraqi national congress which includes the movements of the internal opposition or those in exile in London were informed about the decision provided for the suspension of these sums.
Boucher stressed that Washington hopes to resume its financial aids to the Iraqi national congress but under the condition of organizing its financial affairs.
