Maghreb, Economics, 1/8/2002
The food security commission of the Arab Maghreb Union (UMA) is holding in Algiers this Tuesday a session with participation of the five member countries.
Maghreban cooperation in agriculture remains below aspirations, said Morocco's agriculture, rural development, water and forests minister, Ismail Alaoui, said upon arrival to Algiers on Monday.
He said the present session which looks into food security and food safety will allow for deepening thought and for taking steps to enforce recommendations adopted in previous sessions.
