Arab League: Israel claims over weapons ship to Palestinians aims at escalating conditions

The secretary general of the Arab League (AL) Amre Mousa has described the Israeli claims concerning the weapons ship seized by Israel in the Red Sea as a sort of provoking problems so as to continue hostilities against the Palestinians and foil attempts aiming at re-setting the peace process into its right track.

Mousa said that Israel exploits all international developments and the American bias to Israel. He warned against the US administration continued cling to the Israeli view point. A matter which does not serve a just and comprehensive peace in the region.

The AL council will hold at the level of the foreign ministers its 117th session at the AL premises on March 9 and 10 under the presidency of the state of Kuwait.

An official source at the AL said on Monday that this date was set in consultation between the AL general secretariat and the AL member states, noting that an official memorandum was set to this date to all Arab states.

The source added the AL general secretariat asked the Al member states to send its subjects they want to include at the council's agenda so as to prepare a draft agenda and send it to the member states for study before convening the council.

The source added that the Arab foreign ministers will hole a preparatory meeting for the summit to be held in Beirut on march 24 prior to convening the Arab summit scheduled on March 25 and 26.
