Sudanese minister confers with British international cooperation minister
Sudan-UK, Politics, 1/8/2002

Sudan's Vice President Mousa Mashar has stressed during his meeting with the British international cooperation minister Claire Short on Monday in Khartoum the seriousness of the Sudanese government to reach a just and comprehensive peace in the country through the debated initiatives on the Sudanese arena.

On the other hand, and in two separate meetings with the British ministers, the Sudanese foreign minister Mustafa Othman Ismael and the President's advisor Ghazi Salah Eddine discussed bilateral relations between Sudan and Britain and regional and international issues of mutual concern.

Salah Eddine informed the British minister about the efforts made by the Sudanese government to establish peace in Sudan, noting that a paper on peace in the country will be submitted at IGAD's summit due to be held in Khartoum next Thursday.
