Experts from 11 Arab states study means of fighting terrorism

Some 50 security experts from terrorism fighting departments in 11 Arab states are taking part in the deliberations of a practical course in al-Riyadh seeking to get the participants familiar with most advanced methods to fighting terrorism and to formulate an effective Arab mechanism to exchange information and expertise in this regard.

Organized by the training institute of prince Nayef's Arab academy for security sciences, the course which lasts for 11 days in the context of the prince's scientific program for 2002, will develop the potentials in the field of fighting terrorism operations and briefing on effective planning to counter these operations and study and analyze methods used in implementing sophisticated terrorism operations and proposing practical solutions to support integrated efforts among inter- Arab specialized sides.

The course will be of great benefit to workers in the terrorism- fighting terrorism in the Arab security departments, the special forces, emergency units, departments specialized in fighting organized terrorism as well as specialists in the area of fighting high-jacking, seizing hostages, negotiating high-jackers and dealing with hostages.
