Yemeni- Omani talks
Yemen-Oman, Politics, 1/8/2002

The Yemeni foreign minister Abu Baker al-Qurabi has described his country's relations with Oman as an example to be followed in maintaining care to develop relations between the two states.

He said in the round of talks held in Aden with the Omani delegation chaired by the foreign affairs minister Youssef Bin Alawi that " What is of concern to Oman is eventually of concern to Yemen and vise -versa. The common interest is how to work to furnish for typical relations of cooperation not on our bilateral level as two neighborly states, rather with our brothers in the Arab Peninsula, the Arab homeland and the world."

The Yemeni foreign minister added that the Arab and national common interests link us to one common indicator which is the interest of our peoples and our Arab and Islamic nation.

He praised the efforts made by Oman in support of Yemen's joining several establishments belong to the Gulf Cooperation Council.
