EU delegation, due in Cairo soon

A European delegation will visit Cairo in the first week of February to hold talks with foreign ministry officials on hammering out an understanding mechanism over dumping issues between the two sides.
The delegation's visit falls within the Egyptian-EU partnership agreement to remove obstacles before some Egyptian exports to the European market as well as the dumping cases' considered as protectionist measure against certain Egyptian' commodities of high competitiveness.
On the other hand, the Egyptian trade office in Brussels forged a programme to encourage Belgian investments to Egypt and prepares for participation in the 20th session of meetings of the technical committee on rules of origin on February 18-22.
A weekly report on the activities of the Egyptian trade representation office abroad received by foreign trade minister Youssef Boutros Ghali said a delegation of Kazakh pharmaceutical distributors' representatives is due in Cairo later this month to sign contracts to import Egyptian medicine.
