Morocco's FM meets Bahrain's vice-emir and head of government

Moroccan minister of foreign affairs and cooperation, Mohamed Benaissa, held on Saturday a meeting with the vice-emir of Bahrain, Sheikh Salmane Ben Hamad Al Khalifa and head of government, Sheikh Khalifa Bensalmane Al-Khalifa.

Talks covered means to consolidate bilateral relations, in addition to regional and international topical issues, mainly the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Benaissa, who paid a visit to Bahrain this January 4-6, also signed with Bahraini peer, Sheikh Mohamed Ben Mubarak Al-Khalifa, a cooperation protocol between the two countries' foreign departments.

The two countries are eager to create a free-trade zone to increase their trade relations through partnership between private economic operators and development of air and sea links.

During a visit to Morocco last July by the emir of Bahrain, Sheikh Hamad Benaissa Al-Khalifa, the two countries has set up a high joint commission.
